Disney launches a series starring his first Latina princess

Ellen aP is the name of the first Hispanic princess created by Disney character debuting on the screens of US households on 22 July. According to company sources, the cartoon series will bear the name of the protagonist and will be a way to promote cultural diversity among children. The character will face several challenges and acquire qualities and values before being crowned queen.

According to the company Disney, Ellen aP reflect the diversity of Latino and Hispanic cultures through traditions, architecture, cuisine, folklore and mythology. These cultural aspects have been the result of Marcela Davison Aviles advice, founder of Chapultepec Group and director of the humanities program at the FDR Foundation at Harvard University. Each of the episodes will be accompanied by music and Latin rhythms like salsa, hip hop Chilean, mariachi music or Latin pop.
