The animated television series Prodigiosa: Las Aventuras de Ladybug has crossed the small screen to expand throughout European territory through a powerful licensing program that, in the hand of Planeta Junior, covers all product categories. The series, directed to a target for children and young people, tells the adventures of Marinette, a teenager who leads a double life and becomes superheroine when the world needs it. In Spain and Portugal, the series premiered in February 2016 on Disney Channel, a channel that has since achieved audiences well above the average of the chain. Likewise, Prodigiosa: The Adventures of Ladybug has been broadcast on Televisió de Catalunya since September 2016 and seeks to transmit values such as girl empowerment, magic, love, friendship or creativity.
As for licensed product, the master toy of the property at a global level is Bandai, manufacturer that managed to exhaust all the toys of Ladybug during the Christmas campaign in Spain. In addition, the Planeta Junior licensing program is already being developed in territories such as Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Greece and Central and Eastern Europe, where Ladybug has representation in all product categories thanks to leading licensing companies.
